THE LAST VISIT to Kewaigue school was supposed to have been the memorable October 18th - the one with the curry...
But the following day a heartfelt request from Connie in Year 1 was one the computer bus man couldn’t resist and the bus returned for one very last encore today.
Year 3/4 began the day by creating pictures of Shackelton’s ‘ENDURANCE’ as part of their work on the Antarctic. The picture was based on the real ship, and created using the fabulous graphic capabilities of Apple’s Pages (Page Layout) with editable shapes and more.
Year 4.5 were next up and continued their Polar pictures, created from scratch but based on clip art which acts as a simplified version of the creatures involved. Many of the finished products were indistinguishable from the originals.
The day ended with Year 1/2 who developed their drawing skills from last time, with original illustrations of a variety of subjects including the duck and robot shown here.
As ever - thanks are due to the children and in this case Connie whose idea it was to bring the computer bus back one last time.
Thanks also to the head teacher Mr Shorthouse and his staff for their enthusiasm and support for the bus and ICT over the years - much appreciated.
