Reception and nursery aged children, have used the painting program Kid Pix to practise mouse skills.
From simple shapes, requiring minimal accuracy and ability, students are quickly introduced to more sophisticated drawings,
featuring popular characters from their reading books — including the Oxford Reading Tree and Ginn.
Most groups have also been encouraged to “double click” icons on the screen, to open new pages, and use “pull down menus” to print and close documents.
These sessions have been well received by teachers, who appreciate the opportunity to accommodate an entire group inside the Bus. Sessions for Nursery Nurses are scheduled for the new year.
